Requirements for articles for publication in a scientific journal
Journal of Physical Education and Sport (in the Scopus database)

Please write the article according to the template model.

The article template can be downloaded below. Below are specific points to follow:

- Page set-up: A4 format; margins: top, bottom, left, right=2.5 cm

- Font: Times New Roman, size=10, (one row, for text); size=10, Title 13

- Full first and last name of all of the authors, which should be accompanied by their affiliations to a certain institution

- Corresponding author’s email address

- Abstract of 250 – 400 words maximum, preferably structured with the following headings: Problem Statement, Approach, Purpose, Results, and Conclusions

- Keywords (4-6, font size=10, bold)

- The main text should be structured in the following manner: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion and Conclusions

- Tables - Tables should be numbered consecutively in order of appearance. All tables must have a title placed immediately above it.  All tables must be mentioned at least once in the text (e.g., “as described in Table 1”). Tables should be placed horizontally, be centered and cannot exceed a width of 150 mm. The table data should be written with a TNR, 10 pt. font.

- Figures - All illustrations (graphics, schemes, diagrams, figures, pictures, etc.) must be sequentially numbered in order of appearance and be numbered using roman numerals.  All figures must have a title (caption) that is placed immediately under the figure.  All figures must be mentioned at least once in the text (e.g., “as shown in Figure 1”).  Figures cannot be drawn directly in the Word document. Figures must be imported either as image files (jpg, bmp, tiff, etc.), or as objects (ppt). Black and white images should be provided only in high contrast, and color images should be provided in high resolution.

Reference style follows the APA reference style.

The authors take full responsibility for the content of the articles sent for publication by signing a commitment declaration.

ETHICS OF PUBLICATION: The policy regarding suspected scientific misconduct, including plagiarism, fabrication of data, and falsification, is based on the “Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Cover letter: All submitted articles must to be accompanied by a cover letter with an original signature that includes the copyright agreement.

Manuscript size:

4 - 6 pages is a normal sized manuscript in the editorial policy of JPES.

7 pages is acceptable and will not be extra charged, but 8 and over 8 pages will be charged  - 10 euro per page (700 words per page, Times New Roman 10, single line spacing)

 

References criteria

  1. The bibliographic referencesrelated  to JPES.
  2. Quantitative criteria- minimum 25-30 references of which 15-20 in recent resources from the literature, not older than 1-5- years (2016-2021).
  3. Qualitativecriteria - theoretical and practical references specialized on the topic from the main data flow (WOS, SCOPUS) mainly cites studies from top journals
  4. All references will be used in the text
  5. Please cite your previous  contribution in topic, your published articles and your own research Please cite previous scientific contributions in topic of all authors.
  6. References will be in ENGLISH. Translate the title of the work if necessary into English and specify that it appeared in Russian, Polish, Spanish, etc.

 

Please note: The authors will be numbered in order from 1.  to. . n.

Order of authors  =  importance of contribution  = 1,2,3,4,5,6 .....etc (Excluded for example 1,1,3,4,3,5,1,2) (first author  is responsible with the main contribution and  idea, second  - big part or importance, 3rd - little part or significance, 4th and etc...member of team with small contribution)  Institutional affiliation will be made in the order of the authors. First institution, second, third, fourth, etc.

The structure of the article: in the middle - the title of the article in the original language and English, below - the name and initials of the author (s), the full name of the organization; annotations and keywords in three languages ​​(Ukrainian, Polish or Russian and English).

Annotations
The volume of the annotation is 100-150 words in two languages ​​and 250-300 words (not less than 1800 characters) in English. If the article is in English, the annotation is 250-300 words in Ukrainian.
Annotation structure: purpose, material, results, conclusions.
The abstract should serve as an independent source of information and allow to establish its main content.
The English abstract should be written in high quality English, the use of computer translation is not allowed.
Annotations must be designed in accordance with international standards.
Keywords (4–5, comma).

The main text of the article
The scientific article should contain the following elements:
Introduction. The essence of the problem, its importance, relevance of the topic, analysis of recent research; highlighting the previously unresolved parts of the general problem that this article reveals.
Material and methods. Participants, organization of the study.
Results of the research. Presentation of the main research materials with a full description and justification of the obtained scientific results (research results with mandatory statistical data processing must be submitted in the form of tables, graphs, charts or figures. Data displayed in tables must be accurate. Table title, graphic names materials must correspond to their content). The results of the study must be analyzed.
Discussion. It is necessary to draw parallels with the data received by other domestic and foreign scientists.
Conclusions. A brief formulation of the results of research, understanding and generalization of the topic is given. Conclusions should be concise, specific, reasonable, consistent with the purpose of the study and follow from the main content of the work.
Literature. About 10-15 sources are recommended (up to 60% of them for the last five years) for the research problem, each position should be referenced in the text of the article. References should be given in square brackets, separating one source from another with a comma, for example [3, 4, 15].
References. A list of these sources, provided in Latin in the APA (American Psychological Association) bibliographic reference standard, is available at http://www.bibme.org/apa/book-citation/manual:
• surnames of authors, names of publishing houses, magazines (books, other printed works) - transliteration; titles of articles - translated into English; at the end of the link - indicate the language of the original of the cited work (in Ukrainian, in Russian, etc.) with a mark (in parentheses) for articles in Cyrillic;
• foreign publications submitted in the list of "Literature" in Latin are completely repeated.
The authors are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided!

When preparing articles, we ask you to comply with the following requirements:
The subject of the letter and the name of the article file: Author's surname_Article.
The languages ​​of the publications are Ukrainian, Polish, Russian and English.
The volume of the article is 8–15 pages with tables, diagrams and figures in A4 format in the Word editor, in * .doc format. Font - Times New Roman, size 14, line spacing - 1.5 (in tables - 1), page orientation - portrait, without hyphens.
Annotations and keywords are presented in Times New Roman font, size 12.
Field dimensions: left - 3 cm, right, top and bottom - 2 cm, alignment - width.
Dashes (-) and hyphens (-) are clearly differentiated.
